6+1 nutritional supplements for football players

Before training/a match

1. MagnaShot (from the age of 14)
Magnesium absorbs best in an organic form . The daily intake sho uld be around 400-500 mg for athletes, preferably in smaller doses.

Sufficient magnesium intake is crucial, because magnesium contributes to reducing tiredness and fatigue, to maintaining electrolyte balance, to normal muscle function, as well as to normal energy-yielding metabolic processes. In case of a muscle cramp, or when you feel the lack of magnesium during intensive training or maybe a competition, take a liquid MagnaShot, containing organic magnesium, which you may as well take with you to a competition.

During training/a match

2. IsoTonic
In endurance sports, hydration is a crucial factor to every component of your performance. Isotonic drinks are supplements designed to prevent dehydration and the consequential decrease in performance. They have a beneficial effect on players’ match/training performance, because they supplement the lost amount of fluid and electrolytes. Sweating during intensive training and matches mainly affects your body’s water balance; carbohydrate reserves decrease and you lose important salts and trace elements.

Isotonic drinks don’t only contain carbohydrates and salts, but also vitamins, which contribute to maintaining optimal metabolism.

Mix the product with 0.5 l water and drink before and during matches to keep up your concentration, energy and continuous muscle work, that is, your performance, for periods of about 1-1.5 hours.

3. BCAA Zero (flavoured) or 100% BCAA powder
It’s not an easy job to retain and directly energise muscles. Have a BCAA Zero during training, or you may even mix the unflavoured version with your IsoTonic!

After training/a match

Recovery Gel (from the age of 12)
Recovery is more important than anything else. That’s when the micro injuries of the muscle fibres are “repaired” through – among others – the essential nutrients taken in. Reducing the period of muscle soreness is also important because it can delay recovery, too.

Recovery Gel is a great choice after an exhausting match or training because it contains carbohydrates, protein, added amino acids, vitamins and minerals. In other words, it will provide you with everything that should be supplemented after intensive physical activity.

After (from the age of 16)
Flavoured post-workout powder formula with 22 active ingredients.

The product’s functional carbohydrate content contributes to supplementing the nutrients necessary for recovery after intensive training. Also, it contains crucial active ingredients such as essential amino acids and buffered creatine monohydrate.

Iso Whey Zero (from the age of 14)
If, besides your football training sessions, you also go to the gym, you can ensure your sufficient protein intake by drinking a serving of Iso Whey Zero after workout. Extremely rich in protein, it’s a whey protein isolate made using a special ingredient, Native Whey Isolate (https://biotechusa.hu/native-whey/).

+1 for everyday use: supplementing vitamins and minerals

Last, but not least, we should also mention vitamins and minerals, since it’s crucial for our body that they are taken in in sufficient amounts. Of course, a certain amount of vitamins and minerals are also taken in through your diet, with your food; however, it’s not easy to rely merely on your food for your vitamin and mineral needs. That’s when multivitamin products such as One-A-Day (from the age of 12) or even Vitabolic (from the age of 16) may come in handy.
